23RD ANNUAL PUMPKIN FESTIVAL
Every year, the Circle of Friends organizes the Pumpkin Festival, a community outreach event that brings families from all over Los Angeles together for a fun-filled, safe, and educational celebration of the season. The goal is to raise much-needed annual fund support for Kidspace Children's Museum, which delivers hands-on learning experiences every day and provides access programs for low-income and special needs families. This year, the event will be held on October 14th and 15th on the grounds in front of the museum. This family-friendly festival includes fun for all ages and will be hosted in Brookside Park, directly in front of Kidspace . Activities include a petting zoo, pony rides, bouncers, carnival games, and seasonal crafts. Partake in a costume parade, enjoy face painting, and pick out pumpkins from our pumpkin patch. There will also be a book and costume sale, and tasty picnic treats. Festival admission is free, as well as live music and performances, and select crafts. Tickets are available for purchase to enjoy the bouncers, pony rides, games, food, and other festival attractions.
A wide range of Patron Sponsorship Opportunities are available. We would like to highlight the opportunity to sponsor our "Very Important Pumpkins" (VIPs). VIPs are underserved children who otherwise would not have an opportunity to attend this event. They receive 15 tickets and vouchers that can be used for rides, crafts, games, pumpkins, used books, and food, as well as a free admission pass to return to Kidspace Children's Museum with an accompanying adult. Circle of Friends volunteer leadership works with community partners to identify deserving children and families. We hope to sponsor 475 VIPs this year.
